Traditionally, the ASRA Nationals are held over the Easter long weekend. However, this year it will be held on the weekend of the 1-2nd May 2021in York, Western Australia. At a burgeoning tourist attraction in the Avon Valley called, White Gum.White Gum consists of two adjoining properties in Western Australia’s wheatbelt catering for the recreational pilot and aircraft owners; together with general tourism, camping and caravan facilities.Western Australia’s wheatbeltspans across 154,862 square kilometres in the south west of Western Australia and has five subregions: Central Coast, Central East, Central Midlands, Wheatbelt South and Avon where York is situated.York is the oldest inland town in Western Australia. Situated on the Avon River, York is approximately a 90-minute drive from Perth City or 60 minutes from Midland. York is a small country town with some wonderful sights and friendly people. Visitors to York often pay a visit to the Motor Museum, Residency Museum or perhaps the Mount Brown lookout
Surrounding York we have parachuting at Brooklands, gliding at Beverley and Cunderdin plus the Ettamogah Pub close to Cunderdin and ballooning at Northam, all within a reasonable flying distance from White Gum. A visit to Bindoon will showcase many varieties of gyrocopters and fixed wing aircraft.
There is much to see and do at White Gum for those that need a more relaxing time.
