The 2023 ASRA Nationals Fly-in will be hosted by Quirindi Aero Club at Quirindi Airport (YQDI), New South Wales.
Quirindi Airport is an excellent airfield for the 2023 ASRA Nationals. It is reasonably isolated in its location, has little competing air traffic, and can cater to all types of gyrocopters. The airport has two runways, 06/24 which is a sealed runway, and 14/32, which is part sealed, and part gravel.
The Airport (YQDI) is located approx.18 km to the west of the township of Quirindi and approx. 75 km to the south of the regional city of Tamworth.
The 2023 Nationals Fly-in will be a get-together, with workshops and seminars on both Saturday and Sunday. Friday 21 April will be a “meet and greet”, with a welcoming dinner that evening at the airfield sponsored by ASRA. A farewell dinner sponsored by LPC Australia will be held on Sunday night.
If any pilots would prefer to land at a private airstrip, there are some in the local area on farms. Further, any pilots that do not carry a VHF radio and wish to attend the ‘Fly-in’ should contact the ASRA organisers for further advice.
We look forward to seeing you at the 2023 ASRA Nationals Fly-in. We believe it will be a great opportunity to renew friendships, make new friends, have some fun, and come away a wiser and more knowledgeable gyronaut.
